남산 한옥마을
서울탐방가이며 칼럼니스트인 윤재석 님. 서울에서 태어나 군복무와 미국 5년 거주를 빼고는 수십 년째 서울 토박이로 사는 그가 풀어내는 서울이야기는 자못 흥미롭다. 이야기를 듣거나 읽다보면, 이토록 내가 사는 곳에 무관심했었나 싶기도 하다.
"남산 한옥마을은 한국의 연극, 놀이, 춤 등이 공연되어 옛 문화를 접하며 배울 수 있는 장소다. 무엇보다 압권은 수시로 진행되는 전통 혼례. 혼례엔 유독 벽안의 신부나 신랑이 많은데, 그건 아마도 한국인 배우자의 강한 입김 탓이라 사료된다. 재밌는 것은 그 어려운 혼례 법도를 하나하나 따르는 외국인 신랑(또는 신부)의 태도가 사뭇 진지하다는 점이다."
그의 글처럼 전통 혼례는 쉽게 보기 어려운 만큼 아이들과 함께 들러 여러 문화체험과 곁들이면 좋을 듯하다. 이토록 아름다운 계절에는 더더욱 가볼만 한 곳이다.
