The Design Center Stuttgart는 지방행정기관으로, 독일 연방공화국 디자인협회이다. 가구와 가정용품, 기계 및 도구등의 전반적인 디자인을 진흥하여 국가적 산업용품의 질을 향상시키기 위하여 설립되었다.

The Design Center Stuttgart는 센터내 전시장에서 Exhibitions를 주관하고 카다로그제작, 디자인 연구/고찰 및 전포, 디자인 장학금수여, 매년 국제디자인경연대회(Baden-Wurttemberg International Design Award)를 개최하며, 디자인 관련 세미나와 강연등의 학술활동과 5,000권이상의 디자인도서와 60종류의 정기간행물을 보유하고 있는 디자인도서관을 운영하는 등 광범위한 디자인 자료와 정보, 테이터베이스를 정립하고 있다.

센터(Haus der Wirtschaft)내의 전시장에서는 정기적으로 중요한 디자인전시와 세미나 및 회의로 행사가 바뀌는데, 일반인에게 디자인의 흥미와 그 범위를 넓히는데 그 목적을 갖는다.

슈투트가르트는 디자인관련 볼거리가 많은 도시로(예를 들어, 벤츠나 포르쉐등의 자동차뮤지엄 등...) 더불어 이 한적하고 넓은 센터에도 꼭 들러보도록 하자.

Chelsea Harbour Design Centre는 영국의 인테리어 디자인 발전을 위해 운영되는 기관으로, 자체 센터내에 거의 80개 이상의 영국 및 세계의 우수한 인테리어 디자인 쇼룸들을 가지고 있다.

이곳에서는 매년 'London Design Week' 와 'Focus' 라는 이벤트를 개최하는데, 'London Design Week' 와 'Focus'는 국제적인 디자인업체들이 최근의 직물, 가구, 벽지, 바닥재, 부엌, 욕실, 조명, 기타 장식 악세사리 등을 선보이는 인테리어 디자인 전시회로 봄과 가을에 각각 열린다. 전시회는 Chelsea Harbour Design Centre의 관리하에 센터내의 쇼룸에서 열려진다.

평소에도 많은 인테리어 디자인관련 쇼룸들을 볼수 있다.

1. underground:
Fulham Broadway station (District Line)에서 걸어서 가거나, Earls Court station(District/Piccadilly Lines)에서 C3 버스로 10분 걸린다.

2. bus:
C3 버스가 Earls Court underground와 Clapham Junction main line stations사이를 월-토요일 매 15분 간격으로 운행된다. Sloane Sq 와 the West End를 운행하는 11과 22버스는 주말에 7-8분 간격으로 운행된다.(Lots Rd맞은편 Kings Rd에 정류장이 있다 .)
